Issues

Affordable Housing

Creating affordable housing is not only important, but absolutely a must. Allowing younger Long Islanders the chance to independently rent and support themselves is crucial to our community's future. Affordable housing would also aid older generations, such as veterans, who may be struggling to stay in their current home. Sky high prices on current luxury homes and condos only push more hard-working individuals out of the community.

Immigrant Safety

Immigrants have been an at-risk community ever since ICE has kidnapped our fellow neighbors and friends. Disappearing entirely, this has left families scrambling for answers, horrified at what could've happened to their loved ones. Ensuring the safety of these immigrants is imperative to not only our community, but our country. Ending contracts like the Islip Township's contract with ICE is one of the key ways to start this protection.

Environmental Protection

Our community is known for its many parks, preserves, and bodies of water. However, recent times have brought challenges associated with the natural beauty of Long Island. With this position, I plan to prevent contamination of our water supply by toxic plumes like the Grumman Groundwater Plume through protective legislation and action. Furthermore, I want to protect local forests from development that puts ecosystems at risk. Finally, working towards reversing the algal blooms that are creating toxic waters along our South Shore.

LGBTQIA Rights

I firmly believe that protecting LGBTQIA+ rights will ensure that everyone feels at home in our community. I will also protect Trans youth from being attacked by elected officials. Discrimination has no place in our community.
